Fazenda Primavera, located in the city of Angelândia, MG, in the region known as Chapada de Minas, covers a total area of 1246.1553 hectares, of which 658.89 are dedicated to the production of coffee. Its production began in 1978, which makes it a solid coffee producer with a successful trajectory.
Since 2013, the farm has been gaining recognition though its various national awards, highlighting the exceptional quality of its coffee. In 2016, the Globo Rural magazine named it the third most sustainable farm in the country, a testament to its commitment to environmentally responsible practices. Recognized internationally for its production of specialty coffees, in 2018 its Geisha was honored with the Cup of Excellence award, consolidating its position as the best coffee in Brazil and the world in its category. The next year, 2019, it achieved second place in the Cup of Excellence at the international level, reinforcing its position as a reference in the specialty coffee industry.
Fazenda Primavera stands out for its highly trained, efficient team. The business approach is molded by the strategic leadership of its managing partners, Ronaldo Pena e Matheus Lettieri. The directors’ management unites knowledge in the field and agricultural practices that guide the operational teams and administrative and financial expertise that govern the back office and sales in search of better practices for its business. Both are specialists and contribute to managing Fazenda Primavera.
Currently the farm has 120 full-time employees, in addition to 100 temporary positions created during the harvest, which significantly contribute to the economic development of the region. The farm relies on women in the workforce from the operational phase to processing the specialty coffees, contributing to the excellence and equality in production. Women are employed in all sectors in positions such as Agricultural Production Operators I, II, III and IV, and Post-Harvest Assistant, among others.
Processing of the coffee participating in this competition was done as follows: The coffee was picked, the ripe coffee cherries were selected, and later hulled, and drying was done naturally on African beds.
The producers continually seek excellence in its production, dedicating themselves to improving efficiency and achieving sustainable results. In 2023 and 2024, they invested around 5.5 million reais in the plant, acquiring new equipment and increasing the coffee processing capacity by 50%, allowing Fazenda Primavera to take advantage of the ideal ripeness, thus delivering consistent quality. This initiative does not just strengthen the farm’s competitiveness, but also reinforces its commitment to excellence and innovation in the sector. Fazenda Primavera operates with social and environmental responsibility, prioritizing sustainable development and the safety of its workers and of the production chain. They aim to ensure a safe workplace and focus on health, safety and risk indicators. They integrate socio-environmental aspects in their activities, seeking to minimize their impact on society and the environment. The farm respects Areas of Environmental Protection and promotes improvements in its community. It is externally audited according to the certifications requirements of RainForest Alliance (RA_00060072111), C.A.F.E Pratices and Certifica Minas, ensuring the continuous improvement of its projects.
The flavor of Fazenda Primavera’s coffees certainly reflects its passion for producing the best beans.
